What's new
1.1.9
Fixed a rare bug where a failed background task slowly leaked system resources.
Heavy reduction in background activity while disconnected — roughly two-thirds fewer wake-ups, with zero visible change.
1.2.0
The plugin now hears about VPN changes from macOS directly instead of constantly asking — connects, disconnects, and server switches show up instantly, and an idle machine costs essentially nothing.
Connect alerts arrive much faster (from ~2.5 seconds to under 1).
Connect, disconnect, and server switches now announce banner-style, then settle back down.
If the new approach ever fails, the plugin silently falls back to the old reliable method.
1.2.1
The last remaining periodic check is now instant and free as well.
After your Mac wakes from sleep, a VPN that died overnight is cleaned up immediately instead of lingering.
